Uplink eSports League is a newly started European eSports League that holds competitions for the ever-popular video game Rocket League by Psyonix.
I was approached by Uplink eSports League and asked if I would be interested in building the website for their project. Initially I declined, but after a few conversations the project became more interesting to me and I decided to go ahead and build the website.
I was sent over design elements from the Uplink eSports League designer who is based in Switzerland and began working on producing his layout in WordPress. Some of the fonts he used were hard to come by on Google’s font API so I substituted them after talks with the Uplink eSports League team as this is their website and it represents them.
After approximately one week of coding and producing a layout the website was completed and Uplink eSports League were happy with the finished product.
A few weeks, Uplink eSports League, launched their first tournament to mark the beginning of their journey into the eSports industry.
I do a few minor updates to the Uplink eSports League website when they ask me to, such as enabling their video feed to live streams of their tournaments and minor content updates.
Uplink eSports League website is also a secured website so visitors know that any information that is sent over the website is secured by a SSL certificate.
Uplink eSports League plans to grow their website and I plan to help them whenever they need it!
The Uplink eSports League website was a fun project to be a part of and I am glad that it is part of my portfolio and I am looking forward to helping these guys with any, and all updates to their website as it grows into a real name in the European eSports scene.
